Lady Justice Initiative, Inc. (LJI) was founded to impact the trajectory of women in law and catalyze justice as AI transforms. Our founder's 2024 global study of 105 women in 31 countries in legal and justice innovation and tech documented the barriers women face as AI and other innovation transforms law, from access to mentorship to access to capital and more. Its findings and meeting the women who contributed motivated her to establish Lady Justice Initiative, Inc. something she had not planned. LJI was formed with the goals of responding to what she learned through her research and the historic opportunity to build new systems, institutions, and solutions that support women in law related roles to capture more opportunity and to harness the potential of AI to advance justice and public interest more broadly.
LJI employs evidence-based approaches and collaborative processes in designing its activities, measures rigorously, and works adaptively as the AI transformation landscape evolves. We use participant surveys to capture early-stage impact of our work. As our work matures, we will add key informant interviews, focus groups, and other research methods to measure outcomes.
Since launching programming in Spring 2025, Lady Justice Initiative, Inc. has worked to build global infrastructure to support its success in advancing these goals.

- 3 AI for Breakfast City Circles for Women in Law established

- 29 volunteers have contributed support worldwide
- 15 ICF- credentialed executive coaches and industry expert coaches across 8 countries
- 181 women leaders profiled across 30 countries on the Women Building the Future of Justice Dashboard
- Participation in 5 global, national, and regional initiatives and organizations
- Collaboration with 13 partners
