Lex 2X Exec: Empowering Women, Transforming Law
Women across the globe confront numerous hurdles as professionals in the legal field and in meeting their legal and justice needs. Limited access to legal information and solutions can preclude women from accessing their legal rights. Women working to change this encounter challenges too. Many with new ideas lack support and meet resistance to change within their organizations and communities.
Digital transformation, artificial intelligence, other emerging technology, and innovation in the legal and justice sectors are creating unprecedented opportunities for women to build new systems, solutions, and products as well as lead these emerging fields. Technology can enable more women to gain awareness of legal rights, explore options for solving legal problems, and choose solutions to meet their needs. However, there is also potential for technology and other innovation to amplify the current disparities that women face. Dedicated action is required to ensure that artificial intelligence and other technology tools are gender transformative and that their full potential to empower women is realized.
Drawing from insights revealed by our recent global study of over 100 women legal innovation and tech leaders in 31 countries, Lex 2X Exec is a pioneering global public interest initiative to equip women worldwide with support, resources, and community to capture opportunities, build power, and lead the building of the future of the legal and justice sectors through innovation, artificial intelligence, and other emerging technology. The initiative supports women to work at the heart of digital transformation, AI, and other innovation shaping the future of law. It aims to equip women to gain leadership roles and derive economic benefits from entrepreneurial and other opportunities, while creating more effective and inclusive solutions that meet the needs of all users. Our goal is to create a world where women in law are empowered to drive change at every level and all women have access to legal and justice solutions tailored to their unique needs.
